What is PayPal?
PayPal is a company separate from RJTaylor Enterprises, enabling people to transfer money over the internet in a safe and secure environment. With PayPal, both individuals and businesses can conveniently and easily send and receive payments through the Internet. PayPal has over 100 million member accounts in 56 countries and regions, and is the most commonly used and trusted electronic payment service on the World Wide Web.

How do I benefit from using PayPal?
You get the ultimate in security countermeasures, by only releasing your credit card information to one online business entity, PayPal. This lessens the chances of unscrupulous people ever getting all your credit card information and committing fraud. Think about it, if you buy 10 items per year online through different vendors, there is also a chance any employee at any of these establishments can steal your information. Now, if you choose PayPal to process the transaction from these 10 different vendors, only PayPal has your credit card information and you lessen the exposure of your pertinent and confidential information. Vendors are only sent an e-mail from PayPal with your confirmed shipping address and the money you sent. Nothing about your credit card is sent, not even if you paid with a MasterCard or Visa. Using PayPal is a win-win for both the consumer and merchant since it lessens the chances of fraud.

Is PayPal safe to use?
PayPal helps protect your credit card information with industry-leading security and fraud prevention systems. When you use PayPal, your financial information is never shared with the merchant. As stated on the PayPal website: The security of your information, transactions, and money is the core of their business and their top priority. PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to theirs using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest commercially available). Before you even register or log in to their site, their server checks that you are using an approved browser, one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. Once your information reaches PayPal, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. Their servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is only available to authorized computers.

Why use PayPal?

  • Safely make online purchases or send money with PayPal - and it's free!

  • You no longer need a special PayPal account to shop online. Billing address must match the shipping address.

  • Shop regularly, and pay conveniently, by saving your information with a free PayPal members account. Not a requirement.

  • PayPal is accepted by millions of businesses worldwide and is the preferred payment method online, like eBay.

  • American Express & Discovery Card Purchases: American Express and Discovery card purchases will be submitted in U.S. Dollars (USD) by PayPal to the credit card companies regardless of the currency of the card in PayPal. It is advisable for Canadian buyers to pay with Visa, MasterCard, or a PayPal members account to avoid possible extra currency exchanges between USD and CAD.

Do I need to signup for a special PayPal members account before ordering?
No, as long as your credit card company supports electronic address verification for online purchases. Most US, Canada, and UK credit cards now support the automated "Address Verification System" used for online purchases.

My credit card does not support address verification, how can I get verified/certified?
Just log in to "www.paypal.com" and signup for a free PayPal members account, then look for the "Add Bank Account" link in the How to Activate Your Account box. You will be able to confirm your bank account by completing a simple online process. See the instructions are on their website. Why does PayPal ask users to confirm ownership of a bank account? Because banks and other financial institutions are required by law to screen account holders. By proving ownership of a bank account, you demonstrate that you have passed this screening process and have verified your identity. In turn, this lowers PayPal's financial risk and allows PayPal to guarantee you. It is also possible to have PayPal verify a secondary mailing address, so you could receive for example, merchandise at your workplace instead of home. Once you complete their one-time verification process, future online purchase will be much easier, and more secure, for both you and the merchant.

Can we ship to a non-confirmed or non-verified mailing address?
NO, this policy is to protect us and our customers from the fraudulent use of stolen credit cards. However, it is possible have a secondary address verified by either PayPal, or us, for use on your online transaction, please call for more information.
