If you have ever sought out a unique one-of-a-kind gift idea … look no further.

Needless to say, at first glance this looks like the ultimate BOY toy! Surprisingly, upon due consideration, this one-of-a-kind gift actually transcends all age groups and even genders in its diversity of useful purposes.

Much smaller and more compact than a pair of bulky binoculars, our unique monocular can be conveniently worn on someone's belt using the special belt-loop attachment designed into its protective carrying case (also included)

Note: To help make this product description a bit more interesting to read, we've decided to call this unique zoom monocular, The Eagle-Eye.

Our Eagle-Eye is small enough to easily fit into many places. The dimensions are: 4-1\4 inches long by 1-1\4 inches wide, and weighs only 4-1\2 ounces. (131.7 grams to be exact, which includes the special case and wrist lanyard.) This is slightly taller and thicker, yet not quite as wide or as cumbersome as carrying a pack of cigarettes. This compact size easily fits into a jacket pocket, purse, fanny-pack, back-pack, glove-box, tool-kit, tackle-box … this list is endless, so, I'll stop here.

Okay … now that I've established that the Eagle-Eye is small, light-weight and can easily be carried in a wide-variety of situations and environments … I would like to point out that you can't actually list these attributes when discussing a pair of binoculars.

Now that I have you thinking, consider this …the Eagle-Eye has variable zoom (6 x 12 power) magnification … something only found in high-end binoculars normally costing hundreds of dollars. Statistically, people who already own binoculars, have a pair which are a "fixed magnification" variety (which means they can't be adjusted)

Most binoculars come as a standard 8-power fixed magnification. The lower 6-power capability of our Eagle-Eye actually provides a much larger field-of-view allowing for quicker and easier target acquisition, like viewing that fast little hummingbird you've seen around the neighborhood. Fortunately, not being limited to a fixed magnification or narrower field-of-view (like many other binoculars), you can choose to zoom up the power to exceed the capability of most binoculars and obtain an even closer look at that iridescent ruby throat.

Just when you start to ask yourself "what more could someone expect from this optical wonder", I must confess that I have held back the most compelling aspect for last (grin). Unlike most monoculars, spotter scopes, range finders, telescopes or binoculars … the minimum focus distance is not a common "10 - 15 feet", but is a remarkable "40 centimeters" (as listed from the manufacturer own specifications and verified by us).

Hold onto your hats … 40 cm (Metric) ... equals 15-3\4 in (US) … barely 1 foot away!

Imagine having "Supervision", variable 6x12-power magnification on an item only 15-inches away to infinity, WOW! This is like using a 3x6-power magnifying glass only 1 or 2-inches away from an object. This unique capability is impossible for a pair of binoculars to accomplish, and more closely resembles a high-powered Magnifying Glass or low-powered Microscope used by jewelry stores. Stamp and rock collectors, or anyone needing to see fine details, will appreciate the power our monocular can provide.

In a nutshell … our Eagle-Eye is a miniature telescope that Sir Isaac Newton would have been thankful to have … plus … it's a high-powered spyglass that Sherlock Homes would never have left home without!

Literally, the uses here are endless, a variable determined by each unique individual who owns one! This is a perfect gift for someone who goes antique shopping. Whether you need to see high or low, big or small, no item will escape your new Eagle-Eye.

Individuals with vision problems may greatly benefit from this monocular.

When compared to the expense of high-quality zoom binoculars, which can't be carried easily, the Eagle-Eye is much more practical for everyday use and very reasonably priced at only $59.95
