When
quality counts, this Smith & Wesson (S & W) Tactical Folding Pocket Knife really
delivers.
NOTE: A great deal of time, effort, and
research has gone into locating one of the the best low-cost general purpose or
self-defense pocket knives for our customers. Subsequently, this is the only
knife we feel the need to offer to assure instant customer satisfaction. Even a
collector who spends hundreds of dollars on quality knives, should appreciate
this gem.
S & W is one of the world's most recognizable brand names, and for good reason.
Since they first opened their doors in the 1800's, they have focused on
designing and manufacturing innovative solutions that are unparalleled in the
field of personal safety and protection. Almost every major law enforcement and
military agency in the world has used Smith & Wesson products, and to this day,
most Police & Sheriff departments in the United States depend on their products
as well.
This S & W knife is one of the most innovative and best feeling tactical knives
to come along in a while. The grooved black aluminum handle has a solid look,
yet it feels as light as a polymer handle. It also features a razor-honed 440c
Teflon coated stainless steel drop-point tanto blade that has been bead blasted
to a non-reflective matte finish, and also has a partial serrated tactical
cutting edge for really tough materials. This knife offers ambidextrous thumb
studs, so you can open it easily with either hand.
One of the best features about this awesome knife is the spring-blade opening
mechanism. With a slight flick of your thumb, the blade flies open with
lightening speed and locks into place. This allows you to open and use this
knife using only one hand, unlike a traditional folding buck knife your
grandfather may have owned which requires both hands to open or close. Because
this knife is not generally considered a real switchblade per´se, it is
typically legal in states that restrict people from carrying or even owning
switchblades. Personally, I feel this knife is safer, and easier to deploy than
many switchblade knives, and without all the legal hassles you might need to
worry about by possessing a true switchblade.
This knife also features a modern liner-lock designed which allows for
one-handed release and closing of the blade, always keeping your other hand free
at all times. Liner-lock knives are considered by many professions to be much
saver and secure compared to the older lock-back variety. In the closed
position, there is also a slide-lock safety which keeps the knife from opening
by accident. This is a great feature to have with any spring-assisted knives.
Overall, this is a very impressive knife at an awesome price. Knives of similar
quality sell for twice this much and you don't get spring-assisted capability.
Durability, portability, and performance make this an ideal gift for just about
anybody from hunters, adventurers, civilians, or a law enforcement professional
to name just a few. As a daily use general purpose folding pocket knife, this S
& W is in a class all its own, as a self-defense alternative to owning and
carrying a loaded firearm, this unique knife can be a man's second best friend.

Good News ...
according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, pocketknives 4-inches or less, may be legally carried and concealed,
without a special permit. Please double-check with your own local and state laws, before carrying any type of weapon.
When in doubt regarding concealment, either buy an open-carry
knife holster, or simply utilize the built-in pocket
clip to keep our S & W knife sticking out of your pocket and visible at all
times. When traveling, try and be mindful of local laws as well. If an officer were to ask if you are
carrying any weapons, always be truthful, and simply say that you carry a
pocketknife! Try not to instinctively reach for the knife as you
answer YES to this type of question either, wait for the officer to typically ask for
"temporary possession" of the knife before reaching anywhere unexpected. To an
officer in their bullet-proof vest, someone carrying a knife within a 21-foot
distance, is considered more dangerous than someone
carrying a gun!

practical advise that can help our customers make a better informed
buying decision in this complex world we all live in. However, our brief

Always consult the proper authorities in your area to verify the current facts,
or to uncover any proposed changes currently under deliberation within the local
legal systems that your own votes govern.
If you are a resident of Arizona and would like information about obtaining a
concealed weapon's permit so you can carry all types of defensive
weapons legally, like a firearm, I have written a report regarding this process that you may find very useful which includes cost-saving ideas, local resources, as well as other helpful information.
Without a permit, defending yourself from attack using something as common as
Mace or a Stun Gun hidden inside a women's purse, could get the victim in
serious legal trouble, possibly even sued by the alleged attacker or their
family. I suspect this is why they are technically called weapon permits, and
not, gun permits. Visit our CCW page
for more information on this unique report.
