Rarely does a card effect come along ... capable of baffling even seasoned magician's and gambler's!

Rarely does a card effect come along ... that defies any apparent rational explanations!

Rarely does a card effect come along ... with such broad reaching uses and applications!

Unfortunately, whenever a great new magic effect, prop, book, or video comes along, everyone soon discovers the source or secret rather quickly, allowing every novice and their cousin to begin doing these same effects in homes all across the country. This makes it extremely difficult for professional magicians, to try and constantly perform new or unseen material for their audiences.

To help combat this over-exposure problem, we are trying a completely different type of marketing approach regarding the sale of magic items, and their related secrets. This novel approach was also developed to further complement our unique "tried and true" business philosophy. See our "Getting To Know Us" webpage for more information.

Unlike other magic dealers, rather than simply offering our customers a confusing variety of instructional videos or DVDs, we instead focus more on only promoting the truly valuable content discovered within pre-selected media. In essence, we are not selling videos, but the "tried and true" wisdom they contain.

Note: RJTaylor Enterprises writes our own independent product reviews. The effect you are about to read, is not some type of inflated manufacturer's marketing hype, or their sometimes misleading claims. Unfortunately when related to magic, even our normally truthful and honest marketing material, must somehow contain a few omissions or misleading statement (but not lies), in an effort to help preserve any secrets. Ironically, trusting any magicians' claims, even ours, becomes a very amusing paradox! (grin)

EFFECT: Magician's / Gambler's - Amazing Card Counting Illusion (Only one humble idea, of many useful applications.)

From a group of two or more complete decks of cards, one is freely selected by a spectator for demonstration purposes. These additional decks are only useful to help prove that no special deck was needed, and is an optional, but VERY powerful presentation to use whenever possible.

First, the selected deck of cards are removed from their case by the performer (a magician for future reference). These generally mixed up cards are then quickly examined to remove any stray advertising cards or Jokers that it might still contain.

Before beginning the demonstration, the cards are offered to the spectator to freely shuffle the deck themselves. At this point, the audience is told that at no time will the magician touch, handle, or even shuffle the deck, to help eliminate the possibility of any trickery or card manipulations.

After the spectator has shuffled the deck, tell the audience that you will now demonstrate how truly effective "Card Counting" can be for those with a trained analytical mind, and why it is considered illegal to use this self-taught skill when gambling for money. Explain that you intend to instantly memorize a VERY LARGE group of cards that most people would find extremely difficult, if not impossible! This is a  very rapid technique, quite similar to how a speed reader scans through the pages of a  book, to comprehend the story as quickly as possible.

Next, request the spectator deal out 1/4 of the deck (basically 13 cards). Only after this is done, can the magician briefly handle (not mix or displace) these randomly dealt out cards. These cards are then quickly spread out to memorize the face values, then closed faster than anyone thought humanly possible. (Believe it or not, seeing the cards is not really necessary, and is only to convince the audience that you are actually trying to memorize the cards, as being explained by THIS presentation.)

After quickly glimpsing all those cards for ONLY a fraction of a split-nano-second, hand them back to the spectator and have them now shuffle and mix all those newly memorized cards. After the spectator mixes these cards, have them randomly deal one card face down, without peeking, then cover this card with any solid object nearby. (To eliminate the remote possibility of a "marked-deck" being used, hiding this selected card from view will prove this can NOT be a possible explanation for what they are about to see.)

Once this random card is hidden, the magician is handed the remaining cards, and after a brief glance, CORRECTLY tells the audience the face value of the card that was removed, and still hidden. Miracle number one! (To help simplify the overall presentation, the suits become unimportant in this amazing "3-phase" card counting routine.)

Now that you have everyone's undivided attention with your apparent "lucky guess", say you will demonstrate this once again, but this time by playing a hand of Blackjack for an even more complicated type of example. Have the spectator again deal out another 1/4 of the deck for this next phase of the demonstration. From these new cards, after pretending to instantly memorize them like before, 2 cards are truly selected at random, and again hidden from view by the spectator.

Yet once again, after only a brief look at the remaining cards, the magician can CORRECTLY name the value of these two hidden cards. If for example an Ace and a 7 were about to be revealed (or 18). The magician could "easily", but secretly, position a 3 as the next card to be dealt, before revealing the value of the 2 hidden cards to the audience. After the two cards are revealed, miracle number two and three, you then casually mention that having correctly identified those missing cards, you also knew which card needed to be dealt next to assure a winning hand! At this time, the 3 secretly positioned as the next card, is then dealt face-up to produce a SHOCKING hand of exactly 21. Miracle number four! (Creating 21 is not always possible, but it does happen quite a bit, and should be milked for ALL its glory!)

At this point in time, the audience is more than STUNNED beyond belief. Also, around this time, we run into somewhat of a problem, "The Too Perfect Theory". The audience has now seen the impossible 3-times, or possibly 4-times counting a random deal to 21, and you are about to do this effect one last time on an even LARGER scale. There is absolutely NO explanation to rationalize what everyone is indeed witnessing, which means, the words that the magician chooses to speak to their audience, can literally alter people's perceptions of reality. A fortune teller, or psychic for example, might proclaim to someone the ability to divine cards, or predict future events. As an incredible gambling demonstration however, the dialog leads the audience to a more likely explanation that offers some type of logical reason they can accept with much greater ease.

For the third and final demonstration, a complete 5 card hand of poker is now dealt from the remaining half of the deck, and like before, each card is somehow divined? A FUN part of this final phase, is that you can even claim, that after having already viewed the first half of the deck in the last two demonstrations, you already know which 26 cards are left-remaining in the last half of the deck! This would seem an OUTRAGEOUS claim to make, unless of course, you could somehow demonstrate, what you are apparently doing before their very eyes. (grin)

For some strange reason (even after two demos already), fortunately, nobody will believe this last BOLD claim AT ALL, until you once again prove that the impossible, is indeed possible! (LOL)

Without ever looking at the cards before this final demonstration, have the spectator shuffle the remaining 1/2 of the deck SEVERAL more times, just to be absolutely sure there is NO funny business going on. Next, have the spectator now deal out a 5 card hand of poker. As before, to prove that no special dealing is even required, these selected cards can be chosen randomly.

For this final demonstration, now that we've already ruled out marked cards, have the spectator simply hold these 5 cards in their hands, and lay them face-up for everyone to see as you call them outloud. You guessed it! You now reveal the selected cards hidden in their own hands. A totally impossible revelation of 5 cards randomly selected from 1/2 a spectator shuffled deck of cards. Truly Amazing! Fortunately, most spectators are now conditioned to try and hide or conceal the backs of the cards they are holding, which adds even more to the mystery in everyone's mind later.

Please try to remember these important facts, the spectator randomly selects a deck of cards, then shuffles those cards before beginning the demonstration. Once these cards are given to the spectator, the deck is never again handled by the performer to eliminate any claims of trickery or card manipulations. From these constantly shuffled and mixed cards, 8 randomly selected and hidden cards, are somehow magically DIVINED???

And NO ... the spectator is not a stooge ... and YES ... this effect can be performed one-on-one. Plus, during each performance, different cards are indeed chosen, and eventually revealed!

Folks ... this is literally ... the REAL DEALl! (grin)

The brilliant method behind this totally impossible, yet completely possible effect, may make you believe in real magic again!

Caution: This method is so clever, strange, and even beautiful, that actually knowing the secret may dumbfound the normal reasoning and logic, of those who attempt to learn and fully understand all its wonder and mystery!

Believe it or not, this is an easy-to-master illusion,  and requires no gafted cards, trick or marked decks, mirrors, daub, magnets, or added gimmicks of any kind. That's right, any normal deck of cards! As impossible as this illusion is to behold, trying to describe the impossible to your audience, may be even more challenging than understanding the true secret.

The illusion outlined above, is our own "tried and true" presentation, of only one of the incredible secrets contained on this amazing and highly recommended DVD. If this completely AWESOME effect does not sound like a great investment all by itself, then consider this, several other powerful card effects are also included with this same offer absolutely FREE. In total, 13 different magic effects are presented with this unique 2-DVD set. Fortunately, the somewhat steep price of $75 (which includes shipping), will help keep these valuable secrets from circulating too rapidly. (grin)
